Senior IT Systems Administrator
The Senior IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the operational support, maintenance and monitoring of server-based systems (on-premise and cloud hosted) and implementing new systems and solutions. Working with a team to provide level 2, level 3 support, escalation to vendor support, proactive maintenance and monitoring on our systems and manage incidents and outages to resolution. Working as part of project teams to assist in the implementation, configuration, training and documentation of new solutions for the business.
Key Accountabilities:

- Lead IT Infrastructure support, providing troubleshooting, operations support, maintenance & administration of the Magnet IT Infrastructure estate, based on Windows Server, VMware, Linux and AWS environments.
- Maintenance and administration of DNS, Active Directory, Microsoft O365, AWS implementation, database platforms, NAS, SAN and other associated IT Infrastructure management systems.
- Maintenance, build and deployment of physical servers, virtual servers and cloud instances for the company.
- Network (LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewall) administration and configuration support
- Responsible for ensuring systems are appropriately licenced (physical host, virtual servers, SSL certificates etc) and company license renewal contracts are reviewed and renewed in collaboration with Director of Networks & IP Services
- Responsible for purchasing of IT Infrastructure assets such as servers, licences, AWS resources, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring systems meet IT security policy, security by design and remediation, and patching is implemented in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up to date IT Infrastructure asset management, maintenance and support documentation
- Create training materials and user documentation and maintain such documentation as business needs evolve.
- Based on new system requirements recommend appropriate infrastructure solutions
- Assist the Head of IT and Transformation on IT projects in addition to dealing with any external contractors, vendors (SLA’s contracts)

Required Qualifications / Expertise:
This is a rewarding role with emphasis on targets and delivery. As self-starter and motivated individual, the candidate will have:
- Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an IT Support Role
- Technical Accreditations such as MCSE, CISSP, CCNA, Fortinet NSE
- Systematic troubleshooting skills
- Excellent spoken and written English, with good communication skills
- A solid hands-on IT background working in an IT team environment
- Flexibility in approach to work and work ethic
